Replacing the Power-Adapter Port

Procedure

1Align the screw hole on the power-adapter port with the screw hole on the palm-rest assembly.

2Replace the screw that secures the power-adapter port to the palm-rest assembly.

3Route the power-adapter port cable through the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.

4Adhere the tape to the power-adapter port cable.

5Connect the power-adapter port cable to the system board.

6Align the screw hole on the power-button board with the screw hole on the palm-rest assembly.

7Replace the screw that secures the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.

8Press down the display hinge into position.

9Replace the screws that secure the display hinge to palm-rest assembly.
