Removing A Non-Redundant Power Supply

NOTE: You may have to unlatch and lift the optional cable management arm if it interferes with power supply removal. For information about the cable management arm, see the system’s rack documentation.

1.Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and peripherals

2.Disconnect the power cable from the power source and the power supply you intend to remove, and remove the cables from the strap.

3.Open the system.

4.Disconnect the power cables from the power supply to the system board, and the hard-drive backplane.

5.Remove the screw securing the power supply to the standoff on the chassis.

6.Slide the power supply out of the chassis and away from the system.
