Managing the PowerVault NX3500
You can view and set general system information, configure the file system
and network parameters and set the required protocols through the System
Management tab. In addition, you can also configure the authentication
settings.
To access the System Management options, launch the Dell PowerVault NAS
Manager. Click the System Management tab. The General Information page
is displayed.

General
Systems Information
Shows system version, system ID, and system name.
Administrators
Allows you to add, delete, and remove locks on
administrators.
Time Configuration
Allows you to define the time zone, the NTP server, and
the current date and time.
Network
Network Configuration
Allows you to define the IP address of your default
gateway, LAN or Client MTU, and load balancing
method.
Subnets
Allows you to add, edit, and delete subnets.
Client Connections
Displays connections for each protocol and controller.
Allows migration of user connections to a controller.
DNS Configuration
Allows you to define the DNS server IP address and suffix.
Static Routes
Allows you to add static routes.
Protocols
CIFS Configuration
Allows you to configure your CIFS protocol; the way
users’ identities are authenticated, DOS code page and
UNIX character set.
