6-3. Making Use of USB (Universal Serial Bus)
This monitor has a hub compatible with USB. Connected to a PC comp atible with USB or another USB
hub, this monitor functions as a USB hub allowing con nection to peripheral USB devices.
● Require d System Environment
1. A PC equ ipped with a USB port or another USB hub connected to a USB compatible PC
2. Windows 200 0/XP/Vista/7 or Mac OS 9.2.2 and Mac OS X 10.2 or later
3. EIZO USB cable (MD -C93)
Attention
• Th is monitor may not work depending on PC, OS or per ipheral devices to be used. For USB compatibilit y of
peripheral devices, conta ct their manufacture s.
• Dev ices connected to the USB port (upstre am and downstream) work when the monitor is i n power saving
mode or when the power button of the monitor is Of f. Therefore, power consumption of the monitor var ies with
connected devices even in the p ower saving mode.
• W hen the main power switch is Off, device con nected to the USB port will not ope rate.
● Conne ction Procedure (Setup of USB Function)
1. Con nect the monitor rst to a PC using the signal cable, and ru n the PC.
2. Con nect the supplied USB cable between the downstream USB port of a USB compatible PC (or
another USB hub) and the monitor’s upstream USB port.
The USB hub function is set up automat ically upon connection of the USB cable.
3. Con nect the peripheral USB device to the USB port (downstream) of the monitor.
