Temperature selection
Thehotairfunction isfasterthan ordinaryfunctionsin
supplyingthe food with heat. Therefore,set the tempe-
rature byabout25 oC lowerthan recommended in
reciepesfortop and bottomheat.
Hint:The household appliance dealerisoffering baking
/roasting thermometersforthe indication of the state
ofcooking.
Grease filter
Greasefiltertobe hooked inwith all roasting procedu-
reswithhotairand when turbogrilling; filterto beremo-
ved when baking asthe baking timewould otherwise
be extended.
Preheating
Asthe set temperatureisreached within a very short
time,preheating of the oven beforeinserting the food
isnotnecessaryfor mostof the baking and roasting
operations.
Werecommend preheating with:
Dmeatdishesand short--roasts,suchasfillet,
roastbeef,schnitzlorcutlet. The meatporesare
quickerclosed and the itemtoberoasted
remainsjuicy.
Dfancy biscuitsthat tend tospread easily,
Drolls,quiches,Swiss rolls.
Forthispurpose and beforeinsertion of the itemsthe
oven isheated up until the temperaturesignal lamp
goesout.
Baking with
hotairand top-/bottomheat

Thecharton baking operations containsinmostcases
temperatureranges,e.g.160--175oC.Select thelower
temperatureforthemoment. Incase of too high tempe-
raturesacakeovercruststoo fast, itwill collapse orwill
notrise properly,becauseonlyan insufficientamount
ofwaterisextracted.
Ifthe baking operation takestoo long orif the cake does
notbrown enough asexpected,you may selecta hig-
hersetting.
Theeven browning of the cakecan be improved byre-
ducingthe baking temperature(byabout10 oC).Then
prolonging of the baking timeisnecessary.
Youmightalso havetochange the baking time even if
you exactlyfollowed the instructionsgiven inthe reci-
pe,asthe size ofeggs, the binding qualityof the flour
andthe materialofwhichthe mouldismade can vary.

ched off or removed.
Youmayreplace defectlightbulbs yourself.

orat the spare parts service.
Round ovenlampontheovenrear:
Unscrewtheround protectivecoverglass,replacethe
oven lamp and rescrewthe protectivecoverglass.
Rectangularovenlampintheleft ovenwall:
Hangout the left oven runner.With a wide screwdriver
orasuitableknife unclipthe protective glass carefully
fromthe support, replacethe bulb and press the pro-
tective glass into place again.
