Unplug the scanner, lock the carriage in place with the transportation lock on the back of the scanner, and bring it to qualified service personnel under the following conditions:
◗If the power supply is damaged or malfunctioning
◗If liquid has entered the scanner
◗If the scanner has been dropped or the cabinet damaged
◗If the scanner does not operate normally or exhibits a distinct change in performance.
