If you removed one hard disk drive and are leaving another one in the computer, you need to set the jumpers on the remaining drive to indicate that you now have only one hard disk drive. For the correct settings, see the documentation that came with the drive.

Installing a Drive in a Horizontal Bay

This section describes how to install a drive in a horizontal drive bay. Although the illustrations show a diskette or hard disk drive in the lower bay, you can use these same instructions to install a diskette drive in the upper bay.
