This chapter provides information on keeping the printer in
optimum condition and tells you how to:
❏Solve printer p roblems
❏Replace the Imaging Cartridge
❏Clean the printer
❏Transport the printer.
Also included is a complete list of error messages you may
encounter. There are a number of ways to find out what error has
occurred:
❏Use the EPSON Status Monitor utility
❏Print a status s h eet
❏Check the printer control panel display
When using the printer’s control panel to check the status of the
printer, you can get a quick overview of the printer status by
looking at the indicators, as describe d in “Understanding Your
Printer".
The LCD display also provides messages which indicate the
current printer status, both errors and wa rn ings. A list of these
messages is provided later in th is chapter ("Error Messages", on
page 6-20)
