Using the buttons in SelecType Mode
Note:
You can directly access certain menu items using t he OneTouch modes.
For more information, see "Using the OneTouch Modes", page 5-14.
1. To enter SelecType mode, press Menu while the printer is on
line.
2. To change the settings, press Me nu, Item or Value .
❏To select a new menu (menu category), press Menu.
Examples of menus are the Serial menu or the Config
menu.
❏To select an i tem (settin g), press Item. Examples of items
are Baud Rate (in the Serial menu) or Toner Save (in the
Config menu).
❏To select a value (parameter) for an item, press Value .
Examples of values are 38400 (for Baud Rate) or On or
Off (for Toner Save ).
❏To accept a new setting, press Enter.
❏Press ALT to select the menus, items or parameters in
reverse order (going back through the list). See Appendix
A for a map showing the order in wh ich SelecType menus,
etc. are displayed.
3. To exit SelecType mode, press OnLine or SelecType.
