Face Up Tray
The printer normally outputs pap e r fa c e down on top of the
printer. If you want face-up output, you can install the optional
Face Up Tray (C81294✽). This tray giv es yo u imme dia te vie wi ng
of your printed output and is reco mmended for printing on media
such as labels and transparencies that require a straight-through
paper path.
The Face Up Tray can hold about twenty sheets of media.
Note:
Remember that when you use the face-up tray, you need to allow about
297 mm (about 11.7 inches) at the rear of the printer for the tray and the
ejected media.

Installing the Face Up Tray

To install the face-up tray, follow t he i nstructions below.
1. Find the three mounti ng hol es on the rear of the pri nter. I f you
have installed the optional duplex unit, there will be the
openings on the rear of the vertical unit of th e duplex unit.
Locate and insert the three ta bs on the face-up tray into thes e
mounting holes.
