Cleaning the Printer
The printer needs only minimal cleaning. If you notice a decline
in print quality, clean the inside of the prin ter as described in this
section.
You should also clean the paper cass ette and the printer cover
every few months.

Cleaning the outside of the printer

If the printer’s outer case is dirty or du sty, turn off the printer and
clean it with a soft, clean cloth dampened with a mild detergent.
cCaution:
Never use alcohol or thinner to clean the printer cover; these
chemicals can damage the components and the case. Be careful
not to get water on the printer mechanism or any electronic
components.

Cleaning the inside mirror of the printer

Fine particles of dust can c ollect inside the printer. F o llow the
steps below to clean the insid e of the printer, especially the m irror
inside the printer.
When you see white strips on your printouts , this is a sign that
you need to clean the mirror.
1. Make sure the printer is t urned off.
2. Open the printer cover.
3. Remove the Imaging Cartridge, as explained above.
