Print Size/Width/Enhancements

Four modes in the IBM printer emulation mode are incompatible with each other. These modes are pica, elite, condensed, and proportional. (Proportional is available only on the FX-286e.) Therefore, if you select any one of these, you cancel all the others.

The following values can be used for n:

1:Mode is turned ON.

0:Mode is turned OFF.

(The characters “0” and "1" can also be used.)

The width of proportional characters varies from character to character. Therefore, a narrow letter like i receives less space than a wide letter like W. The proportional widths are given in the character tables, which appear in Appendix B. This command overrides condensed, pica, and elite.
