Removing the Protective Materials
The printer is protected during shipping by pieces of white packing material. Also, the wide carriage printer is protected by a locking clip, which must be removed before you turn on the printer.
CAUTION: Before turning on the wide carriage printer, be absolutely sure you have removed the locking clip. Turning on the printer while the clip is attached may seriously damage the mechanism.
Follow these steps to remove the protective materials.
1. Remove the printer cover.
2.Remove the pieces of white packing material. At this point, the standard width printer is completely unpacked.
