• Do not take apart the AC power
adapter. Doing so could b e dan-
gerous.
• Do not use the AC power adapter
in a hot and humid place.
• Do not subject the AC power
adapter to strong shocks.
• The AC powe r adapter may emit a
humming. This is normal.
• If used near a rad io, the AC power
adapter ma y cause static. If this
happens, move the camera away
from the radio.

Before Using the Camera

Do not aim the camera at ex tremely
bright light sources, such as the sun
in a cloudless sky. Failure to observe
this precautio n could damage t he
camera image sensor.
Test Shots Prior to Photog raphy
For important photographs (such as
weddings and overseas trips), always
take a test shot and view the im-
age to make sure that the camera is
working normally.

Images recorded using your digital

for personal use. Users are also asked

Handling Your Digita l Camera
To ensure that images are re corded
correctly, do not subject the c amera
to impact or shock while an image is
being recorded.
Liquid Crystal
If the LCD monitor is dam aged, take
particular care with the liquid crys tal
in the monitor. If any of th e follow-
ing situations a rise, take the urgent
action indicated.
• If liquid crystal com es in contact
with your skin:
Wipe the area with a cloth and
then wash thorou ghly with soap
and running water.
• If liquid crystal g ets into your eye:
Flush t he af fected eye with cl ean
water for at leas t 15 minutes and
then seek medical assistance.
• If liquid crystal is s wallowed:
Flush your mout h thoroughly wi th
water. Drink large quantities of wa-
ter and induce vomiting. Then seek
medical assistance.
Although the LCD panel is produced
with highly sophis ticated tech nolo-
gies, there may be black sp ots or
permanently lit spots. This is not a
malfunction, and does not a ffect re-
corded images.
