About region codes of playable discs
Some DVD discs display a 4 ("Region Code"). The mark (a number) shows the geographical region where the disc can be played. This unit cannot play discs that do not show "4" or "ALL" on the mark. Attempting to play other discs will result in display of a message saying "Can not read disk. Please check disc." Even discs that do not display the region mark may in fact be controlled by region and may not be playable on this unit.
The playing condition is determined by the intention of the DVD/software Caution creator. Some functions may not perform during operation because this unit is playing the disc according to content specifications intended by the software creator. Be sure to consult the explanatory material provided with
the disc to be played.
