5 Switching off the Power
Switching off the Power
IMPORTANT NOTE
Only set the MAIN switch off after you exit from the operation system and the SUS/RES indicator on the status indicator LCD goes off.
To set the MAIN switch off while suspending, resume the PC, save the data, and terminate the operation system in advance.
When you switch the PC power off and on again, wait for about ten seconds before switching it on.
Remove any CD, floppy disk, and the like prior to switching the PC power off.
Set the MAIN switch off for the following purposes:
•Carrying the PC
•Installing/removing peripheral equipment
•Corresponding to low battery or saving the power
❑For Windows Me, Windows 95 and Windows 98
1Click on the “Start” button then “ Exit Windows “. The “ Exit Windows “ dialog box will appear.
2Ensure that “ Shut Down“ is selected for Windows Me, “Shut Down” for Windows 98 or “Shut Down” for Windows 95 Click on “OK” or “Yes”.
This causes the operation system to be terminated and the PC power to be switched off. Also
the SUS/RES indicator ( ) on the status indicator LCD goes off.
Critical Points
If you do not set the MAIN switch off after Step 2 above, you can switch the PC power on again simply by pressing the SUS/RES switch.
