13 Connecting a TV Set (depend on model)

Connecting a TV Set for Home Use

(Supported Only By Windows 2000 and Windows 98)

Depending on the model, the PC is equipped with an S-Video output terminal, to which you can connect a TV set used at your home. This section describes connection of a TV set for home use.

WARNING

ELECTRIC SHOCK

To connect/remove a TV set, be sure to switch the PC power off and disconnect the AC adapter beforehand. Also switch the TV power off and unplug the TV set. Otherwise you may undergo an electric shock.

CAUTION

FAILURE

When connecting cables, read the instruction carefully to avoid misconnection.

If the PC is used with a wrong connection, the PC and/or the TV set may be damaged.

1Switch the PC power off and disconnect the AC adapter.

2Switch the TV power off and unplug the TV set.

3Connect a commercial A/V cable to the S-Video output terminal on the right side of the PC.

Firmly connect the commercial A/V cable to the S-Video output terminal on the PC.

4Connect the A/V cable to the TV set.

Refer to the TV set manual for this connection.

5Connect the AC adapter to the PC and switch the PC power on.

6Plug the TV set and switch the power on.

7Change the screen display.
