High`pitched whistle:

This noise occurs principally in cookware which consists of layers of different materials when it is used at the highest heat setting and on two elements next to each other. This whistling disappears or becomes quieter when the power is turned down.

DFan noise:

The electronics require a controlled temperature in order to function reliably. The cooktop is therefore fitted with a fan which runs at various speeds

according

to the

temperature detected. The fan may

also

to

run

even after the

cooktop

has

been

switched

off

if

the temperature

it detects

is still

too
