Note: Be sure to use single-mode fiber optic cable with this module. Single-mode fiber has a smaller diameter than multi-mode fiber (2/15 - 8/60 microns for single-mode, 50/125 or 62.5/125 microns for multi-mode, where xx/xx are the diameters of the core and the core plus the cladding respectively).

NOTE: The RPM-SMF circuit board contains a six pin jumpers, but the jumper is only to be placed across pins 5 & 6. (Chg. 11/98) Others are not used.
