Chapter 2: Setting Up Your Player

Playing movies

You can play MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video files from your computer on your TV.

To play a movie:

1Enter Network mode. For more information, see page 30.

2Highlight Video, then press ENTER.

3To play one movie, highlight the movie, then press ENTER.

- OR -

To play all movies in a repeating loop, highlight the first movie you want

to play, then press PLAY.

Viewing pictures

To view a picture:

1Enter Network mode. For more information, see page 30.

2Highlight Images, then press ENTER.

3Highlight a category, then press ENTER.

4To view only one picture, highlight the picture you want to view, then

press ENTER.

- OR -

To view all pictures in a repeating loop, press PLAY.

For information on creating a slideshow, see “Working with slideshows” on

page 63.

Tips & Tricks If you view the first picture in the list, all of the remaining

pictures in the list will automatically display in a slideshow.

No songs are found when I try to import the files into Media Server. A song starts playing, then it stops for no reason. Media Server cannot find music files that I know are there. DVD troubleshooting The player does not have power. No picture appears on my TV. 82 The picture on my TV has a lot of static, or noise The DVD picture does not fill the screen on my standard television. No sound plays while playing media through the player. There is no surround effect during playback of Dolby Digital soundtrack. 83 I keep hearing a loud hum or noise. The remote control does not work. The DVD does not play. The DVD does not start playing from the beginning.
