Playing computer media files

Exiting Network mode

To exit Network mode and return to DVD mode:

■Press the CONNECT button. The player exits Network mode and enters DVD

mode. If a DVD is in the disc tray, the DVD plays automatically.

Playing music

You can play your computer’s MP3 and WMA audio files on your audio system.

To play music:

1Enter Network mode. For more information, see page 30.

2Highlight Audio, then press ENTER.

3Highlight a category (for example, Artist), then press ENTER.

4Highlight an artist, then press ENTER.

5To play a song, highlight the song by the artist, then press ENTER.

- OR -

To play all songs in the current folder in a repeating loop, press PLAY

Playing a playlist

For information on creating a playlist, see “Working with playlists” on page 60.

To play a playlist:

1Enter Network mode. For more information, see page 30.

2Highlight Audio, then press ENTER.

3Highlight Playlists, then press ENTER.

4Highlight the playlist you want, then press PLAY to play the entire playlist.

- OR -

If you want to play only a certain song within playlist, highlight the

playlist, press ENTER, then highlight the song and press PLAY.

No songs are found when I try to import the files into Media Server. A song starts playing, then it stops for no reason. Media Server cannot find music files that I know are there. DVD troubleshooting The player does not have power. No picture appears on my TV. 82 The picture on my TV has a lot of static, or noise The DVD picture does not fill the screen on my standard television. No sound plays while playing media through the player. There is no surround effect during playback of Dolby Digital soundtrack. 83 I keep hearing a loud hum or noise. The remote control does not work. The DVD does not play. The DVD does not start playing from the beginning.
