Chapter 4: Using Gateway D5 Streaming Media Server

To create a new slideshow:

1Open Media Server, then click the Media Files tab.

2Click New Playlist. The Create New Playlist dialog box opens.

3Click Slide Shows, then type a name for the slideshow in the List name box.

4Click OK. The new slideshow appears in the Playlists list.

5Click the button to display only photo media.

6To add entire albums to the slideshow, click and drag the photo albums

you want to include in the slideshow from the Albums list to the slideshow

you created. The photos are added to the slideshow.

7To add separate photos to the slideshow, click the button, then click

Add Files From HardDrive. Navigate to the folder containing the files you

want to add, click the files (hold down the CTRL key to select multiple files),

then click Open. The photos are added to the slideshow.

8To add background music to a slideshow, click the button to display

only audio media, click the button, then click Add Files From HardDrive.

Navigate to the folder containing the music file you want to add, click the

file, then click Open. The music is added to the slideshow.

No songs are found when I try to import the files into Media Server. A song starts playing, then it stops for no reason. Media Server cannot find music files that I know are there. DVD troubleshooting The player does not have power. No picture appears on my TV. 82 The picture on my TV has a lot of static, or noise The DVD picture does not fill the screen on my standard television. No sound plays while playing media through the player. There is no surround effect during playback of Dolby Digital soundtrack. 83 I keep hearing a loud hum or noise. The remote control does not work. The DVD does not play. The DVD does not start playing from the beginning.
