Chapter 4: Using Gateway D5 Streaming Media Server

Deleting media files

You can delete media files from Media Server.

To delete media files:

1Open Media Server, then click the Media Files tab.

2Click the button for the media type you want to view in the Albums, Artists,

and Media lists.

3In the Media pane, right-click the file you want to delete, then click Delete

from library or Delete From HardDrive. To select multiple files, press and hold

CTRL while clicking the file names.

4Click Yes. The file is deleted.

Working with playlists

You can create, edit, rename, or delete music playlists that can be played

through your DVD player. You can also import playlists from other media player

programs.

Important ■Subsequent scans of your hard drive will find files that

were only delted from the library.

■To prevent media files from reappearing in Media Server ,

delete them from your hard drive.

No songs are found when I try to import the files into Media Server. A song starts playing, then it stops for no reason. Media Server cannot find music files that I know are there. DVD troubleshooting The player does not have power. No picture appears on my TV. 82 The picture on my TV has a lot of static, or noise The DVD picture does not fill the screen on my standard television. No sound plays while playing media through the player. There is no surround effect during playback of Dolby Digital soundtrack. 83 I keep hearing a loud hum or noise. The remote control does not work. The DVD does not play. The DVD does not start playing from the beginning.
