OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
!CAUTION: Make sure safety shield and feed tray are in the proper position to operate the unit.
FILM LOADING AND THREADING
It is recommended that loading and unloading film be performed when the laminator is cool (room temperature).
Refer to Figure 6B and follow the procedures to remove the Feed Table:
1.Remove the safety shield by sliding the latch, located on the upper left side to the right, while lifting the shield up and away from the laminator.
2.Slide the feed table latch to the right.
3.Lift the table upwards and away from the laminator.
If reloading film, cut remaining top and bottom film webs between supply rolls and heat shoes. Be careful not to scratch the heat shoes. Remove the old rolls and check the heat shoes for adhesive residue. This can be easily removed by wiping with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasives as they will damage the Teflon coating on the heat shoe.
Change the top and bottom roll at the same time.

GBC laminating film is labeled near the end of each roll with ‘Warning - End of Roll’. When this label appears on either the top or bottom roll of film, a new roll of film must be installed as soon as the item presently being laminated exits the laminator.
Use core adaptors from the previous roll.
Laminating film must unwind from the bottom of the roll (dull side up). Shiny side of film should be against the
heat shoes.
Use the alignment guides on the film shaft to be certain that the top and bottom rolls are aligned properly.
Slide lower idler bar slightly upward and toward the back of laminator.
Unwind top and bottom film rolls enough to allow film slack for threading (Figure 6C).
Thread film from upper supply roll under the idler bar and drape film over heat shoes.
