Cuando instale una estufa de doble unidad de tiro en combinación con otra estufa de tiro, conserve entre las unidades el espacio mínimo que se muestra. Instalarlas demasiado cerca afectará su funcionamiento.

Si es posible, evite colocar gabinetes sobre la unidad de la estufa, para reducir así los peligros que se originan cuando hay que tomar algo que esté en un gabinete, pasando el brazo sobre las unidades de la superficie que están calientes.

Si los gabinetes se instalan en la parte superior de la estufa, deje una distancia mínima de 30″ (76,2 cm) entre la superficie para cocinar y la parte de abajo del gabinete.

Se debe instalar un material no combustible en la parte de abajo del gabinete. Utilice un tablero de madera retardante a las llamas por lo menos de 1/4″ (6,3 mm) de ancho o una lámina de yeso por lo menos de 3/16″ (4,7 mm) recubierta con una hoja de acero de calibre 28 o de cobre de 0,020″ (0,5 mm) de ancho. La profundidad máxima de los gabinetes en la parte superior de la estufa es de 13″ (33 cm).

EXCEPCIÓN: La instalación de un horno de microondas o de otro aparato para cocinar sobre la estufa debe estar en conformidad con las instrucciones de instalación que estén incluidas en el aparato.

Las áreas de trabajo adyacentes a la estufa deberán tener una distancia mínima de 18″

(45,7 cm) entre la encimera y la parte de abajo de los gabinetes. Si la distancia es menor de 18″ (45,7 cm), los gabinetes adyacentes deberán estar por lo menos a 8″ (20,3 cm) de los lados de

la estufa.
