G. Fixed Glass Assembly
WARNING! Risk of Asphyxiation! Handle fixed glass assembly with care. Inspect the gasket to ensure it is undamaged and inspect the glass for cracks, chips or scratches.
•DO NOT strike, slam or scratch glass.
•DO NOT operate fireplace with glass removed, cracked, broken or scratched.
•Replace as a complete assembly.
Removing Fixed Glass Assembly
•Remove the ash lip that is located in front of the glass.
•Remove the side panels located in front of the glass.
•Remove the pull mesh fi rescreen by unhooking from the fi replace.
•Pull and release the six glass latches (3 per side) located on the sides of the glass frame.
•Grasping the upper lip with one hand and the lower lip with the other, pull the bottom of the glass out first. Guide the bottom while letting the top drop down under the top of the opening (see Figure 14.1).
Replacing Fixed Glass Assembly
•Replace the glass door on the appliance. Pull out and latch the six glass assembly latches into the groove on the glass frame.

I. Air Shutter Setting
Air shutter settings should be adjusted by a qualifi ed ser- vice technician at the time of installation. The air shutter is set at the factory for minimum vertical vent run. Adjust air shutter for longer vertical runs.
NOTICE: If sooting occurs, provide more air by opening the air shutter.
