MAINTENANCE &ADJUSTMENTS
Rear Cutting Range Adjustment 1. Open the pump bypass valves on both pumps.
2. Raise and support the rear of the power unit so that the rear
wheels clear the ground by about 3 inches.
3. Follow the procedures for Rear Wheel Adjustment to remove
the adjusting bar and lower the wheels to the ground.
4. Remove the nut from
the pivot bolt on each
side of the axle
assembly and remove
the pivot bolts.
5. Roll the wheels to align
the pivot hole on the
axle assembly with the
alternate pivot holes in
the power head.
6. Install the pivot bolts
and tighten the nuts on
the pivot bolts to 76 ft-lb
(103
Nom).

7. Follow the procedures for Rear Wheel Adjustment (page 59)
to set the desired cutting height.
8. Tighten the wheel nuts to 35 it-lb (47 N.m).
9. Lower the power unit to the ground.
10. Close both pump bypass valves.
Be sure to adjust both the front and rear wheels to the same
cutting height to get the best performance and cut quality.
