Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
1.Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.Remove the battery (see Battery on page 46), and then remove the following components:
a.Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 47)
b.Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 49)
c.Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 56)
d.Top cover (see Top cover on page 60)
Remove the power button board:
1.Turn the top cover upside down, with the front toward you.
2.Remove the Phillips PM2.5×3.0 screw (1) that secures the power button board to the top cover.
3.Release the clips (2) that secure the power button board to the top cover.
4.Remove the power button board (3) and cable
