This device may be subject to ringing or bell tinkle when certain other devices are connected to the same line. If this occurs, the problem should not be referred to the Telecom Faults Service.

Associated Software Limits of Compliance

Some parameters required for compliance with Telecom’s Telepermit requirements are dependent on the application software or PC equipment associated with this device. The application software shall be set to operate within the following limits for compliance with Telecom’s specifications:

The S0 register must contain a value of 0 for no auto-answer or a value of 2 for auto-answer.

The S6 register must contain a value of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7. The factory default of 2 is recommended.

The S7 register must contain a value less than 90. The factory default of 72 is recommended.

The S10 register must contain a value less than 150. The factory default of 14 is recommended.

The S11 register must contain a value greater than 60. The factory default of 95 is recommended.

There shall be no more than 10 call attempts to the same number within any 30-minute period for any single manual call initiation.

The equipment shall go on-hook for a period of not less than 30 seconds between the end of 1 call attempt and the beginning of the next attempt to the same number.

Automatic calls to different numbers shall be not less than 2 seconds apart.

Failure to set these parameters correctly could negate the User Rights under the Telecom Terms of Service.
