1. Holding the new hard drive by its edges, place it in the hard drive compartment. The right edge of the hard disk drive should be flush with the edge of the compartment.
When you remove the drive from its packaging, hold it only by its edges.
Keep the drive in its protective packaging until you’re ready to insert it.
