Before removing the keyboard, follow these steps:
1.Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.Remove the battery (see Battery on page 34).
5.Remove the RTC battery compartment cover.
Remove the keyboard:
1.Remove the three Phillips PM2.5×18.0 screws that secure the keyboard to the computer.
2.Turn the computer
3.Open the computer as far as possible.
4.Release the top edge of the keyboard by lifting it up to disengage the keyboard from the tabs on the keyboard cover.
5.Lift the top edge (1) of the keyboard until it rests at an angle.
