Before calling Agilent Technologies, however (or returning an analyzer for service), perform the quick checks listed in “Check the Basics” on page 90. This check may eliminate the problem.
If a problem persists, you may choose to:
•Repair the analyzer yourself. See “Service Options” on page 92.
•Return the analyzer to Agilent Technologies for repair. See “Returning an Analyzer for Service” on page 94, for more information.

NOTE | If the analyzer is still under warranty or is covered by a maintenance |
| contract, it will be repaired under the terms of the warranty or plan (the |
| warranty is located at the front of this manual). |
| If the analyzer is no longer under warranty or is not covered by an Agilent |
| Technologies maintenance plan, Agilent Technologies will notify you of the |
| cost of the repair after examining the analyzer. |
