5.13 Heat Sink

1.Prepare the notebook for disassembly (Section 5.3) and remove the following components:

❏Keyboard (Section 5.9)

❏Switch cover (Section 5.10)

❏Speaker cover (Section 5.11)

❏Fan (Section 5.12)

2.Remove the four PM2.0×9.0 spring-loaded shoulder screws 1 that secure the heat sink to the notebook.

3.Lift the front edge of the heat sink 2 and slide the heat sink out of the notebook at an angle 3.
