To make a call or launch a program using Speed Dial

If you have assigned a speed dial (for example, the second location) to a contact or a program in Speed Dial, simply press and hold on the phone keypad to dial the contact’s number or open the program.

To delete a speed dial entry

1.From the Home panel, press Start (left softkey) > All Programs (left softkey) > Speed Dial.

2.Select the desired entry and press Menu (right softkey) > Delete.

Turning the Phone On and Off

In many countries, you are required by law to turn off the phone while on board an aircraft.

Enabling or Disabling the Phone

1.On the Home panel, press the navigation key down to select the Settings panel, press the navigation key right to select Comm Manager, and then press the Enter key.

On the Home panel, press Start (left softkey) > All Programs (left softkey) > Comm Manager.

2.On the Comm Manager screen, highlight Phone and press the Enter key to enable or disable the phone. When enabled, the ON indicator is activated.

Enabling or Disabling Airplane Mode

Another way to turn off the phone function is to switch your phone to Airplane Mode.

When you enable Airplane Mode, all wireless radios on your phone are turned off, including the phone and Bluetooth. When you disable Airplane Mode, the phone function is turned back on and the previous state of Bluetooth is restored.
