Using Numeric mode

If a text box permits a numeric entry only, such as a phone number, the input mode automatically defaults to Numeric mode. However, if you need to enter numbers within a line of text, change to Numeric mode, and then change back to abc or XT9 mode to finish entering the text.

To enter numbers in text boxes

1.On a text field, press and hold .

2.Select numeric mode (123) from the menu.

3.On the keypad, enter the number or numbers you want.

4.Change back to abc or XT9 input mode by pressing and holding and selecting either mode from the menu, and then finish entering your text.

Tip To quickly enter a sequence of numbers (or symbols), press the FN key twice and enter the numbers from the keypad. After you have finished, press the FN key again to return to text input mode.

The Phone Screen

To display the Phone screen:

Enter the phone number by pressing the keys on the keypad.
