11.3  Speed Dial

You can create speed dial entries for frequently-called numbers or frequently- accessed items so you can dial a number or access an item by pressing a single key.

To create a speed dial entry for a contact

1.On the Home panel, select Contacts.

2.Select a contact and press the TRACKBALL to view the contact details.

3.Select the desired phone number and select Menu > Add to Speed Dial.

4.Enter appropriate details in Name, Value, and Keypad assignment.

5.Select Done. To quit at any time during this process, select Menu > Cancel.

To create a speed dial entry for an item

1.On the Home screen, select Start then highlight the item you want.

2.Select Menu > Add Speed Dial.

3.Enter details in Name, Value, and Keypad assignment.

4.Select Done. To quit at any time during this process, select Menu > Cancel.

Notes • Number “0” and “1” keys are reserved and cannot be assigned as speed dial keys. The number “1” key is reserved for voicemail. You can set any number between “2” and “99” as a speed dial key. You must not set Keypad assignment to None. An alert message appears when you do so.

If you assign a speed dial key that is already occupied, the new entry will replace the existing entry.

To retrieve a voicemail message

On the Home screen, press and hold 1 to access your voice mailbox, and follow the prompts to retrieve your messages.
