Man Overboard (MOB) Navigation

Man Overboard (MOB) Navigation

As s oon a s you k now that you have a man o verboard (MOB), you should activate MOB navigation to maximize the chances for a successful rescue. MOB navigation allows you to create an MOB waypoint to locate the point at which your man went overboard and the relation of the boat to that point.

Activate MOB n avigation: Press and h old the GO TO ke y f or m ore than 1.5 seconds to activate the Man Overboard (MOB) function.

When MO B is activ ated, a MOB wa ypoint is creat ed at th e boat's current position, regardless of w hether the ch art cursor is a ctive or no t. Th e MOB waypoint has a lar ge, dis tinctive icon . Once MOB is activated, any c urrent navigation will be cancelled and t he current route will b e discarded without user notification. MOB navigation will b egin immediately, and the M OB View will show the following:

The view will switch to the Chart View, and the elapsed time since MOB was activated will be displayed.

A l ine will be dr awn f rom the bo at's c urrent po sition to the MOB waypoint, and the MOB waypoint will be targeted.

The latitude/longitude position of t he MOB waypoint will be displayed in an additional information box.
