Time Format

Time Format

(Advanced, International only)

Time Format changes the time format used by t he unit. Th is menu option is available w hen t he User Mode is set to Advanced (see Main Men u: User Mode). International Models only.

Time Format selects a 12 hour or 24 hour format for the time of day displayed when Time + Date is selected as a Digital Readout (see Navigation X-Press™Menu: Select Readouts).

To change the Time Format:

1. Make s ure the Us er Mode is set to Ad vanced, th en highligh t Time Format on the Setup main menu.

2.Press the L EFT or RIG HT Cursor k eys to change the Time Forma t. (12 hour, 24 hour, Default = 12 hour)

Date Format

(Advanced, International only)

Date Format changes the date forma t used by the u nit. This m enu option is available in I nternational Models only and when th e User Mode is set to Advanced (see Main Menu: User Mode).

Date Format s elects the format for th e date display w hen Time + Date is selected as a Digital R eadout (see Navigation X-Press Men u: Select Readouts).

To change the Date Format:

1. Make sure t he Us er Mode is set to Adva nced, th en highlight D ate Format on the Setup main menu.

2.Press t he LEFT or RIG HT Curs or ke ys to chan ge t he Date Forma t. (mm/dd/yy, dd.mm.yy or yy.mm.dd, Default = mm/dd/yy)

This includes the position of the station and the t imes of the high and low tides for tod ay’s d ate. A tid e gr aph is also displayed showing the rise an d fall of the tid es for t he 24 ho ur time period encompassing the da te. You can change the date to look at t ide information before or after the date displayed by pressing the LEF T or RIGHT Cursor key respectively. Press the EXIT key to remove the information box, and the cursor bull’s eye will be centered over the tide station position. Magnetic N orth relies on the e arth’s magnetic field to align a m etal pointer g enerally towards True North. However, due to loca l variations in the earth’s magnetic field around the globe, the difference between True North and Magnetic North can be greater than 10. See True North memory. Routes are often used when frequently traveling between two or more locations be cause it is a faster and more ac curate method th an repeatedly selecting individual waypoints e ach time one travels through the same area . Routes consist of a Start Waypoint, an End Waypoint, and a series of waypoints in between. Users can begin navigation at the beginning, the end to runthe route in reverse or at any waypoint in between. See Waypoint Page Waypoint Target: Waypoint Target is a Hum minbird f eature that displays a precise “bull’s eye” around a selected waypoint. This bull’s eye is used to easily monitor boa t posit ion relative to a waypo int, a nd is useful fo r fishi ng over submerged structure.
