Cancel MOB Navigation

Cancel MOB Navigation

(only when MOB Navigation is activated)

Cancel MOB N avigation removes the Ma n O verboard (MO B) way point and exits Man Overboard mode. This menu option will o nly appear when you are currently navigating in Man Overboard mode.

To Cancel MOB Navigation:

1.Highlight Cancel MOB Navigation on the Navigation X-Press™ Menu.

2.Press the RIGHT Cursor key to initiate canceling MOB navigation.

3.The Confirm dialog box will appear. To cancel MOB navigation, press the RIGHT Cursor key once more. To avoid canceling MOB navigation, press the LEFT Cursor key.

NOTE: After you have cancelled MOB navigation, the MOB waypoint will remain in the Navigation X-Press™ Menu until it is manually deleted. From the Navigation X-Press™ Menu, select the MOB waypoint, and press the RIGHT Cursor key. Select Delete from the MOB waypoint submenu, and press the RIGHT Cursor key. The Confirmation dialog box will appear, allowing you to confirm or cancel the deletion.

Remove Target

(only if a Target is Active)

Remove Target removes the waypoint target from the display. This menu option will only appear when a target has already been applied to a waypoint.

NOTE: See Introduction to Navigation: Add a Waypoint Target or Troling Grid for more information.

To Remove a Target:

1.Highlight Remove Target on the Navigation X-Press™ Menu.

2.Press the RIGHT Cursor key to remove the target.

This includes the position of the station and the t imes of the high and low tides for tod ay’s d ate. A tid e gr aph is also displayed showing the rise an d fall of the tid es for t he 24 ho ur time period encompassing the da te. You can change the date to look at t ide information before or after the date displayed by pressing the LEF T or RIGHT Cursor key respectively. Press the EXIT key to remove the information box, and the cursor bull’s eye will be centered over the tide station position. Magnetic N orth relies on the e arth’s magnetic field to align a m etal pointer g enerally towards True North. However, due to loca l variations in the earth’s magnetic field around the globe, the difference between True North and Magnetic North can be greater than 10. See True North memory. Routes are often used when frequently traveling between two or more locations be cause it is a faster and more ac curate method th an repeatedly selecting individual waypoints e ach time one travels through the same area . Routes consist of a Start Waypoint, an End Waypoint, and a series of waypoints in between. Users can begin navigation at the beginning, the end to runthe route in reverse or at any waypoint in between. This bull’s eye is used to easily monitor boa t posit ion relative to a waypo int, a nd is useful fo r fishi ng over submerged structure.
