respond by executinq a lonq jump to the appropriate location. This long jump will set the CS register; it is important that the CS register be set in accordance with the assumptions made while translating the code. This is the purpose of the GROUP INDEX field.

------LINE NUMBER

A line number between Band 32767, inclusive, is provided in binary by this field. The high order bit is reserved for future use and must be zero.

LINE,-------NUMBER _OFFSET._-

The LINE NUMBER OFFSET field is a l6-bit value, which is either the offset of the line number with respect to an LSEG (if SEGMENT INDEX> 8), or the offset of the line number with respect to the specified FRAME (if SEGMEN'r INDEX = 0).
