Intel PRO/100 Introduction

Introduction

The OnBoard Ethernet Controller (OBEC) is an Intel 82558 ethernet controller device and may be detected by software as either and Intel EtherExpress PRO/100+ or an Intel 82558 ethernet controller.

The OBEC may be enabled or disabled through the BIOS Setup utility. If you need to change the setting, refer to the system documentation for instructions on running the BIOS Setup utility.
