The Web Configurator

This chapter introduces how to access the web configurator to perform general system configuration.

2.1Introducing the Web Configurator

The web configurator is best viewed with Internet Explorer (version 4.0 or above) or Netscape Navigator (version 6.0 or above). Your browser must have JavaScript support enabled.

2.2Accessing the Web Configurator

Follow the steps below to access the web configurator.

The ZyAIR allows only one web configurator session at any one time.

Step 1. Make sure your ZyAIR is properly connected (refer to instructions in the Quick Installation Guide on hardware installtion and connections).

Step 2. Launch your web browser and type the WAN or LAN IP address of the ZyAIR as the web address (it is recommended that you connect your computer to the LAN and use the LAN IP address for initial configuration). 192.168.1.1 is the default IP address for the LAN port.

If you are using a different port number (between 8000 and 8099) for the web server, you must also append the port number to the LAN IP address seperated with a colon “:”, for example, http://192.168.1.1:8080.

Step 3. A login screen displays. Type “admin” (default) as the user name and "1234" (default) as the password and click Login.

The user name and password are case sensitive.
