5 Maintenance

TPress the ‘Descale’ button.

TPress the ‘Start’ button.

TPress the ‘Start’ button again. ‘Empty drip tray.’

TEmpty the drip tray and coffee grounds container and put them back into the machine.

‘Pour descaling agent into water tank.’

TRemove and empty the water tank.

TCompletely dissolve the contents of one blister (3 JURA des- caling tablets) in a receptacle holding 20 oz (600 ml) of water. This may take several minutes.

TPour the solution into the empty water tank and insert it into the machine.

‘Press the Rotary Switch.’

TPlace one receptacle under the dual spout and another under the hot-water spout.

TPress the Rotary Switch.

‘Machine is being descaled.’, water flows repeatedly out of the dual spout and the hot-water spout.

The operation stops automatically. ‘Empty drip tray.’ appears on the display.

TEmpty both receptacles.

TEmpty the drip tray and coffee grounds container and put them back into the machine.

‘Fill water tank.’

TRemove the water tank and rinse it thoroughly.

TFill the water tank with fresh, cold water and reinsert the tank.

‘Press the Rotary Switch.’

TPlace the receptacles back under the dual spout and the hot- water spout.

TPress the Rotary Switch.

‘Machine is being descaled.’, water flows out of the dual spout and the hot-water spout.

The operation stops automatically. ‘Empty drip tray.’ appears on the display.
