Normal				You can dub selected scenes on a tape, starting and stopping
				wherever you wish.
					LOAD CASSETTES
Dubbing				1 cassette.
					Insert a VHS (or S-VHS) cassette and a Mini DV
STOP					SELECT DUBBING
	PLAY	REC		2	DIRECTION
DV					Press → when you want playback on the DV deck and
					recording on the VHS deck. The dubbing direction
			S-VHS		(DV →) indicator lights.
					OR
		PAUSE	START		Press ← when you want playback on the VHS deck and
					recording on the DV deck. The dubbing direction
DUB					(← S-VHS) indicator lights.
					SET TAPE SPEED

				3	Press S-VHSor DV for the recording deck, then press
					SP/EP (SP/LP for the DV deck).
				4	LOCATE START POINT
					For the playing deck:
					Press S-VHSor DV to selsct the playing deck.
1 T	2 W	3			Press PLAY to start playback of the tape in the playing
			2		deck, and press PAUSE to pause playback when you
					find the point where you want to start dubbing.

7	8	9			For the recording deck:
					Press S-VHSor DV to select the recording deck. Press
	0		4		and hold PAUSE and press REC so that the recording
		DV			deck enters the Record-Pause mode.
					START DUBBING
			S-VHS	5
SP/EP 1					Press START.
	DV	S-VHS
PLAY					Dubbing from DV to VHS:
			PAUSE		DV play indicator (#) and VHS record indicator ( )
					light.
REC					Dubbing from VHS to DV:

STOP

NOTES:

●There may be a discrepancy of several seconds between where you intend editing to start, and where it actually starts.

●The superimposed indication during the operation or dubbing is not recorded.

●When dubbing from the VHS deck to the DV deck, also set "SOUND MODE" to the appropriate mode (
pg. 33).

When dubbing from the DV deck to the VHS deck:

●When dubbing a Mini DV tape that was produced by audio dubbing, you need to set "12BIT MODE" to the appropriate mode before playing the tape (
pg. 33).

●To cancel the dubbing mode, press CH +/– so that the

dubbing direction indicator (DV → or ← S-VHS) goes off.

PAUSE DUBBING

Press START.

END DUBBING

Press STOP. Then press S-VHSor DV to select the playing deck and press STOP.
