Selecting the audio channel

The audio channel can be selectable with most of the Karaoke discs.

Each time you press AUDIO, the audio channel changes as follows:

Example for a VCD:

ST: To listen to L (left) and R (right) audio channels.

L: To listen to L (left) audio channel.

R: To listen to R (right) audio channel.

Sound adjustments for Karaoke

The following items can be adjustable when the Karaoke function is activated.

Reducing the voice recorded on a disc/ file—voice masking

“V. MASK” appears on the display.

To restore the voice, press the button again.

The voice may not be reduced enough with some discs/files.

Shifting the pitch of the playback sound—key control

You can shift the pitch of the playback sound from –6 to +6.

For DVD Video/VCD/

For MP3/WMA:

• Select “0” to return to the normal playback.

The setting is applied only to the current title/track/ file.

Depending on the type of the recorded source (such as DTS Digital Surround software, etc.), you may not be able to shift the pitch.

Applying an echo to your voice—echo

ECHO 1 = ECHO 2 = ECHO 3 = ECHO OFF (canceled) = (back to the beginning)

• As the number increases, the effect will be emphasized.

Reserving Karaoke songs

You can reserve the songs up to 12.

2 Select the desired chapters/ tracks/files.

• For VCD, SVCD and CD: Enter a track number.*

• For discs/files other than above:

Enter a title/group number, then a chapter/track/file number.*

3Repeat step 2 to reserve the rest of your selection.

4Start playback.

The reservation list goes off when you press RESERVE. To show the list, press the button again.

You can additionally reserve a song after the song currently played back. To reserve a song, stop playback and perform the procedure in step 2 above, then start playback.

When you start playing back the reserved songs, make sure the reservation list appears on the TV screen; otherwise, you cannot start playback.
