ACH1 RequestB

The viewer will acquire image of the corresponding CH from VN-E4according to boxes that are checked.

Checkbox

When the checkbox for a channel is deselected, the viewer will not acquire image of this channel

from VN-E4and the CH button will be disabled. Additionally, no image will be displayed even if

the checkbox is selected if the corresponding CH and JPEG size on the AEncodingB of the VN-E4

unit are set to off.

B

JPEG Size Selection

Select either VGA (640 x 480) or QVGA (320 x 240) as the video frame size.

Button

No image will be displayed even when the size is selected on this screen if this size is set to off

on the AEncodingB page of the VN-E4unit.

NOTE:

Selecting a large frame size will increase the processing load of the PC on which the viewer is running.

Set to a value such that the load of the PC on which the viewer is running does not exceed 80 %.

C

Display Selection

Select AReverseB to rotate the image display by 180.

D

Title Selection Button

on the AInputB page of the VN-E4unit.

E

Frame Rate Selection

For selecting the acquisition frame rate of the viewer.

List

The frame rate set at the VN-E4unit will be the upper limit to which the viewer can acquire. For

example, when VN-E4is set to A15 fpsB, transmission will only be possible at 15 fps even when

the client requests for 30 fps. Alternatively, when VN-E4is set to A15 fpsB and 10 fps is requested

by the client, data will be sent at 7.5 fps to enable transmission at even intervals. In the case of a

1-to-1 connection between VN-E4and the viewer, it is recommended that the frame rate of the

viewer and VN-E4be set to the same value. To play back multiple viewers at different frame

rates, set the frame rate accordingly at the individual viewer.

NOTES:

When the frame rate set is smaller than that at the VN-E4unit, this will be reflected in the

frame rate during transmission from VN-E4when acquisition is performed via HTTP.

When acquisition is performed via multicast, data volume will not decrease even when a

frame rate that is smaller than that at the VN-E4unit is set, and the built-in viewer will play

back images while skipping frames.

Selecting a large frame rate will increase the processing load of the PC on which the viewer is running.

Set to a value such that the load of the PC on which the viewer is running does not exceed 80 %.

can monitor VN-E4 though packet loss causes noise or skip of data. Additionally, start multicast

sending on the AStreamingB of the VN-E4unit when playing back via AMulticastB.

When the viewer is launched with AMulticastB specified, a Windows firewall warning may be

displayed. When this occurs, proceed upon selecting “Unblock”. If “Block” is selected, the

Windows firewall will block the multicast streams and playback of AMulticastB at the viewer will fail.
