To erase a character

After performing steps 1 to 3 on page 29, do the following:

Example: To change “BESUT” to “BEST”

4 Press the 3/2 button to make the character you want to erase begin flashing.

5 Press the DELETE/CLEAR button.

6 Press the NAME/TOC EDIT button.

The original characters will move to the right by one.

To add a character

After performing steps 1 to 3 on page 29, do the following:

Example: To change “BST” to “BEST”

4 Press the 3/2 button to make the character at the place you want to add a letter begin flashing.

5 Select the character you want to add, using the jog dial. Then, press the ENTER button.

6 Press the NAME/TOC EDIT button.

To correct a spelling

After putting the unit in the character input mode, erase the wrong character. Then, enter the correct character.

To erase disc names or track names

After performing steps 1 to 3 on page 29, do the following:

Press the DELETE/CLEAR button for at least 2 seconds, and then press the ENTER button.

The disc or track name will be erased.
