PARTIAL OR FULL RESET?
If your transceiver seems to be malfunctioning,
initializing the transceiver may resolve the problem. Use
Full Reset to initialize all settings that you have
customized. Partial (VFO) Reset does not initialize the
following settings:
Some of the VFO factory defaults are listed below:
1Press [MNU] to enter Menu mode.
2Press [cc

d] to select “RADIO (1–)”, then press
[OK].

d] to select “AUX (1–9–)”, then press
[OK].
4Press [cc

d] to select “RESET (1–9–7)”, then
press [OK].
5Press [cc

d] to select Partial (VFO) Reset, PM
Reset {page 45}, or Full Reset, then press [OK].
A confirmation message appears.
Press [ESC] to quit resetting.
6Press [OK].
After switching the power OFF, you may press [VFO]+
POWER ON for Partial Reset, or [MR]+ POWER ON for
Full Reset. This allows you to skip steps 1 to 5.
You can also use the RESET button to perform Full
Reset. See page 12.
Note: When in All-control Lock or Channel Display mode, you cannot
perform Partial Reset nor Full Reset.
