As you will appreciate from these results, despite the fact that the TS-480HX has an output of 200W, twice that of the comparison model, it boasts the same or even better cooling performance. It is not only designed not to power-down (for temperature protection) during continuous, normal transmission, but you can see that we have taken into full consideration the rise in temperature that occurs during continuous transmission.

Despite the fact that the TS-480 Series is compact, it has the same heavy-duty specifications as the previous, fixed station model. Nevertheless, electronic components, whether from Kenwood or another manufacturer, are generally susceptible to heat: the higher the temperature, the shorter is their working life. Therefore, in order that you can use the product for a long time, we recommend that you adjust output to suit conditions.
