4. Reading and writing files

With ARCP-480 you can write memory channel and menu data to a file for later recall. This does not apply in certain cases when using KNS.

Compatibility with KNS (Kenwood Network Command System)

KNS is the name for the system that enables remote control of the transceiver over a LAN or WAN; ARCP-480 is equipped with the remote functions for this system. To use KNS, you need to have at least 2 computers, the remote one having ARCP installed and the host computer having ARHP installed.

The basic arrangement is to connect the TS-480 to a host computer, which is on a LAN, and to install ARHP-10 on this computer. ARCP-480 is then installed on the remote computer.
